Mars.  The Main Brain behind Washington Rebel is Irish Cicero, a perfect blend of black shanty Irish and crazed Welsh on his father's side; and high-toned Scots-Irish folks on his mother's side.  Hence, the nom de plume "Irish Cicero" to represent, on the one hand, Celtic Charisma and, on the other, an unflinching devotion to republican principles of life and government.  Handsome, vibrant and humble, don't expect him to be politically correct.  He calls 'em like he sees him.  Do you or don't you expect individualism?  If not, go read Huffington Post.

Venus.  Our "High" Priest of pleasure -- and honorary guardian of the Hoh Rain Forest -- is none other than Hoh River Boy, a delightful "young man" who, alas, is graying, along with Cicero.  (Picture at left may diminish actual distance between Then and Now.)  HRB has been a Marxist, a logger, a complete party boy, and a poet.  His main devotions are women, and the Theme, as such be used to nourish good prose.  He's swift of tongue and delicate of sensibility.  Also, we're raising funds for his sabbatical, if you're interested in sponsoring this dreamer lad.  Do you love the moon?  Then show us some green.  There's good karma in it for you.

Hoh River Boy's folks from his mother's side were journalists and politicians in the Pacific Northwest since before Washington was a state.  His father and his father's father strung phone line and built road for the Olympic National Park soon after it was formed in 1938.  He's a true-blue Olympic Peninsula boy, and it shows in his humor, and his good looks.  He likes every kind of music from Black Sabbath and the Doors to George Jones and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.  It's always July, 1976 for the river boy.

Uranus.  The "Big Cat" is how Constantine Maximus is referred to.  There are several reasons for that nickname, not appropriate for dissemination here, see?  Maximus writes about Rosicrucian and Ageless Wisdom themes.  There isn't always a demand for such fare, but we offer it anyway.

At Washington Rebel we believe the intensification of consciousness and republican character are one and the same thing.  We don't apologize for being republican.  We represent the humanity on the horizon, whereas "progressives" are the Calvinists and pharisees of our time.
